The rattan goes through a drying process before being used to craft our lampshades. The drying process is the longest stage of our lampshade journey, taking up to 3 weeks to fully air dry in the sun.

Our craftsmen begin with the frame, carefully shaping the frame into a unique structure to provide strength and durability for the rattan. Thin strands of natural rattan are carefully woven into the frame, to create patterns in the shade. Rattan weaving is an intricate process and can take anywhere from several hours to days for a single lampshade to be completed.
